About the Event
POEMSCAPES OF WOMANHOOD
- celebrating the multidimensional you -
in conjunction with International Women's Day
Sunday, 8 March 2020, 1-4pm
Everyday is a good day to celebrate the strength & courage of our womanhood.
Come together with fellow women to meditate, move, inspire each other, write, and create intentional art.
“When women come together with a collective intention, magic happens.” - Phylicia Rashad
We will be working with mantras to activate our voices and unlock our stored intelligence files, alongside meditations to increase our creativity and connection to infinite wisdom. I will also be preparing us sacred rose laced cacao to help ground us deeper into our heartspace, guide us on a visionary breath journey to magnetically envision, through our own stories, what we want to see manifest in the physical, material realm not just in our own lives but also for the future generations of womankind.
If not now, when? If not us, who?
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” - Maya Angelou
There will be time for discussion and sharing with prompts to spark heartfelt, innovative thought and conversation; there will also be time for partner work, movement, storytelling and creative writing. Though not required, if it resonates, you are so welcome to bring a prepared heARTpiece that depicts the unique artistic expression of your personal healing journey; it could be in the written word - a poem on heartache, an adventure story, a recipe, a letter from your past / future self. Or something more tangible - a painting, a sculpture, a piece of jewellery or a song without words - really, sky’s the limit!
Mats & blankets provided.
Wear comfortable clothing for movement.
Eat lightly, ideally plant based & caffeine/stimulant free on the day.
BYO sheepskin (optional), cushion, water bottle, writing/creative crafting apparatus.
Filtered water & rose tea will be available throughout the afternoon.
Open to 8 women keen to get back in touch with their creativity and heal their story in a safely held potently delicate space.
